Welcome
Norwich Baroque was formed in 2006 to specialize in original and lively interpretations of music by popular and less well known Baroque composers; from Handel and Vivaldi to Capel Bond and Mudge.
The group has evolved since its creation to encompass two groups: the increasingly popular period instrument ensemble, and a larger group including woodwind and brass performing on "modern" instruments, incorporating many elements of Baroque style and technique. Working with eminent soloists from the Baroque world we aim to bring audiences fresh and vibrant performances in some of our region`s most beautiful buildings.
We are proud to have internationally renowned countertenor Michael Chance CBE as our Patron.
Our GALLERY displays photographs of recent concerts and will give you a flavour of Norwich Baroque`s style. Find out about our future concerts and keep abreast of developments in the NEWS, EVENTS AND CONCERTS section. Our LINKS page provides web addresses for those connected with Norwich Baroque - from soloists and chamber ensembles to makers of lutes and harpsichords.
The "FRIENDS OF NORWICH BAROQUE" provide us with valuable support whilst enjoying the many benefits of the Friend`s scheme. Why not consider joining?
