2019 - So many exciting concerts ahead!

Here are the bones of the year, and a pretty exciting one it is looking too!

Sat 12th Jan - Directed by Cellist, Richard Tunnicliffe – NCBC, Duke St.
A late Baroque/early Classical programme including the Haydn cello concerto no.1 & Mozart symphony 29

Sat 16th Feb – Diana Moore – Mezzo-soprano – NCBC Duke St
Diana’s choice of music inspired by returning to her roots on the beautiful Suffolk coast

Sat 23rd March – a Live programme notes concert - Love and death in Venice – Soprano Jayne May-Sysum, introduced by Dr Simon Heighes – Octagon Chapel, Colegate, Norwich

Sat 13th April – JS Bach’s St John Passion – with the choirs of Norwich Cathedral
Always poignant and beautiful

Sat 1st June – “French dances, Frogs and windmills” …Summer baroque connections – St Georges Colegate
Each work will be linked to the next; some links will be obvious, some less so. See if you can work them out! Rebel, Corelli, Handel, Seixus, Telemann.

Sat 3rd August – Soprano Sarahjane Stephen and Lutenist Arngeir Hauksson – at Binham Priory
Always a stunning venue and our two soloists are perfectly suited to the Binham acoustic.

Sat 7th Sept – Vivaldi! - Tim Morgan - countertenor & Catherine Martin - Viola d’amore SGWM Gala Concert 2019 - Norwich Cathedral
All Vivaldi? Boring? Oh certainly not! Come and hear the variety, contrast, tenderness, drama, tension and humour of this incredible composer.

Sat 26th Oct – Lucia Froihofer – Austrian violinist introducing a programme of Lully - URC Princes Street, Norwich
Lyrical, free and full of life. Following Lucia's last concert with us you asked or her to come back, and for more Lully... so here you have it.

St 16th Nov – Israel in Egypt – with Norwich Cathedral Chamber choir
One of Handel's greatest oratorios.

Sat 21st Dec – Messiah by Candlelight – Norwich Cathedral Chamber Choir
