08-04-17 - St Matthew Passion

JS Bach’s St Matthew Passion is a masterpiece of epic proportions. This was our second performance of "the great Passion" and again, it was a day never to forget.
On Saturday 8th April 2017, Norwich Baroque, augmented by many friends and colleagues, joined the massed choirs of Norwich Cathedral for a performance of J.S Bach’s epic St Matthew Passion. It is always a privilege to be invited by Ashley Grote, the Cathedral’s Master of Music, to be part of such a major event for the region. It was a hugely long and full day but thoroughly worth every moment. The St Matthew Passion remains an awesome work which never fails to touch everyone involved to the core.
