Saturday 23rd March – Love & Death in Venice

The next in our series of Live Programme Notes concerts with Dr Simon Heighes at the controls.
The glorious city of dreams inspired an emotional roller-coaster of a concert which took us from the hot-blooded drama of the opera house to the boisterous hi-jinks of Vivaldi’s little-known chamber concertos. Sparkling soprano Jayne May-Sysum ‘loved and died’ with true Italian passion and music historian Simon Heighes was on hand with live programme notes as our guide for the evening.
