2008 - Norwich Baroque; The Early Days
It was at the Wymondham Festival in 2008 that we first met someone who was to play such an important role in our archive, photographer, Anna Meek, now one of the Honorary Friends of Norwich Baroque as a tribute to her huge contribution to our ensemble ever since. Thanks Anna!
It was also the year we had our first HUGE audience (for Viva Vivaldi in Norwich Cathedral), met violinist Peter Hanson, and first performed with our future Patron, countertenor Michael Chance, who has become a friend and part of the group as well as being such an inspiration and encouragement to us.
2008 also saw our first "Christmas by Candlelight", again attracting a big audience.... A good year.
